Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating x-ray, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and auxiliary equipment, preparing patients for examination, processing images, maintaining and cleaning equipment, and maintaining required documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate x-ray, MRI and auxiliary equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Prepare patients for examination, including positioning and instructing them on the procedure
  • Process images and maintain equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient procedures and images
  • Interface with patients, staff, and physicians to facilitate efficient and effective imaging procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the imaging team to improve patient satisfaction and Press Ganey scores
  • Perform quality control and electro-mechanical checks on equipment
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to other imaging technologists
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance of equipment and perform other related duties as necessary
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Technologist
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience as a Radiology Technologist
  • Competency in one of the following modalities: CT, MRI, or Special Procedures
