GENERAL OVERVIEW

The primary role of the dining experience coordinator is to extend a cordial welcome to guests, manage seating arrangements, and facilitate the initial engagement between patrons and the service team. This position is essential in creating a hospitable atmosphere for every guest entering the venue. The dining experience coordinator is pivotal in shaping the first and last impressions of the establishment, influencing the overall dining experience from the moment guests arrive.

FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE COMMITMENT

All team members are expected to embody a Four Diamond dedication to customer service by adhering to the quality standards set forth by Pechanga Resort and Casino.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage reservation logs, confirm bookings, and accurately record reservations.
  • Welcome each guest with a friendly demeanor upon arrival or via phone.
  • Allocate seating based on table availability and staff rotation.
  • Oversee waitlists and reservation sheets during each shift.
  • Escort guests to their tables at a comfortable pace, assist with seating, and present menus while wishing them an enjoyable dining experience.
  • Execute cashier responsibilities in alignment with established operational procedures.
  • Verify and account for all cash transactions with both staff and guests.
  • Process guest payments, including credit cards, room charges, discounts, and cash transactions.
  • Complete and reconcile all necessary daily reports.
  • Facilitate change or exchanges for team members as needed.
  • Assist in preparing daily bank deposits.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY: This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with at least one year of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This role requires the ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety protocols and operational manuals. Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and colleagues.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: The position necessitates proficiency in basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, particularly in the context of financial transactions.

REASONING ABILITY: The ability to apply common sense and follow instructions in various formats is crucial, as is the capacity to address problems involving multiple variables in standardized scenarios.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must qualify for a Class A gaming license.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in using a 10-Key Calculator.
  • Able to perform under pressure.
  • Possess a strong mental fortitude to manage challenges effectively.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent speaking, writing, and comprehension abilities.
  • Proficiency in additional languages such as Cantonese, Chinese, Korean, Mandarin, and Vietnamese is preferred.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with both staff and guests.
  • Prior experience with cash registers or POS systems is preferred, though training will be provided.
  • Ability to take direction from supervisors and managers.
  • Must be available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
