About the Role

Canyon Contracting is seeking a skilled Concrete Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely budget estimates for construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze bid submittal requirements and project general requirements to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Develop detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for construction projects, focusing on self-performed general conditions, concrete, masonry, and carpentry.
  • Prepare and issue proposals for concrete projects after reviewing design documents and specifications.
  • Communicate with general contractors and construction managers to clarify scope of work and schedule requirements.
  • Solicit quotes from vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials, equipment, and labor.
  • Participate in the internal review of estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Review total estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to finalization.
  • Assist clients in developing schematic and GMP budgets, and participate in hard bid estimating.
  • Built relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and general contractors.
  • Organize and distribute construction documents to subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, scope review meetings, and negotiate with clients.
  • Transition awarded projects to project management and accounting by creating budgets and conducting site visits.
