Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Tech to join our team at Rea Magnet Wire. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and Repair Equipment: Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment, including electrical and electronics systems.
- Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance tasks, such as changing arbors, edge roll cartridges, and other mechanical components.
- Operate Motorized Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, Genie boom, and scissors lift to move equipment and materials around the facility.
- Utilize Maintenance Work Order System: Properly use our maintenance work order system to track and manage maintenance tasks.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; industry certification and/or college degree preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical and electronic troubleshooting and repair in an industrial environment.
- Skills and Knowledge: Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical safety practices, including lockout/tagout/tryout, arc flash PPE requirements and procedures, hot work, confined space, and fall protection. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, follow verbal and written instructions, and adjust to changes in equipment and tools.

- Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, and use of hands or fingers to handle objects. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds, moving 55-gallon barrels, and working on ladders and platforms using fall protection equipment.
- Work Environment: Occasional exposure to cold temperatures (100 degrees). Well-lit environment with minimal noise level, but occasional exposure to higher than 85 decibels.
