POSITION PURPOSE:
The Room Attendant is tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the hotel premises.

SCOPE OF WORK:
This role requires collaboration with the Housekeeping Department to ensure that each suite is cleaned to high standards efficiently.

This position reports to the Head Housekeeper and the General Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean all assigned suites daily.
- Vacuum carpets and perform spot cleaning as necessary.
- Dust all surfaces including furniture, picture frames, and electronic devices.
- Remove fingerprints and smudges from mirrors and shiny surfaces.
- Ensure thorough cleaning of bathrooms, including shower stalls, sinks, floors, and toilets.
- Adhere to brand standards for room cleanliness.
- Report any damages or missing items in rooms immediately.
- Notify the Head Housekeeper of any rollaways or cribs needed for storage.
- Handle the pass key responsibly and ensure it is returned daily.
- Submit all lost and found items to the Guest Service Representative.
- Communicate any unusual occurrences to the Head Housekeeper.
- Turn off all lights, TVs, and air conditioning when leaving a room.
- Assist fellow housekeepers with additional cleaning tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
The Room Attendant should possess knowledge in the following areas:
- Customer service experience
- Understanding of hotel housekeeping scheduling systems
- Familiarity with brand standards for cleaning and room layouts
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL SKILLS:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Adaptability to technology used within the hotel
- Excellent verbal and listening communication skills
- Effective stress and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Capability to stand for extended periods
- Physical ability to meet job demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Demands:
The Room Attendant will spend 8 to 10 hours daily standing and walking, requiring bending, squatting, reaching overhead, and extending arms. Light lifting of supplies and furniture (approximately 30 lbs) is expected, along with pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs. The role is primarily indoors but may involve collecting and disposing of trash outside.
Environmental Conditions:
This position may experience frequent interruptions to address guest needs and requests, often in a busy and noisy environment.
Salary: $16.00 to $16.50 per hour
