About This Role

Covenant Living Communities and Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team in providing high-quality care to our residents. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our community.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate residents' health, mental, and emotional conditions, and communicate significant changes to appropriate staff.
  • Provide direct patient care, including procedures such as catheter placement and care, colostomy care, suction, dressings, naso-gastric tubes, and other treatments.
  • Assist in the orientation of new LPN/LVNs and nursing assistants, and reinforce training standards to maintain a high quality of care.
  • Communicate regularly with the Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding observations, suggestions, and problem areas.
  • Participate in report at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure proper information about residents is communicated.
  • Assist in the admission, orientation, and observation of new residents, and ensure that physician orders for diets, therapy, medication, etc. are transcribed and communicated according to procedure.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical/vocational nursing.
  • Current license, in good standing, as an LPN/LVN in the State.
  • One year nursing experience.
  • Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing.
