Job Description

Emerson is seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Project Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for leading the technical execution of control system projects in the oil and gas, refining, and petrochemical industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the technical execution of control system projects, including engineering execution, project management, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and implement control system designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and Emerson's quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely and within-budget project completion.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including project plans, technical specifications, and test plans.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • 10+ years of experience in control system engineering projects in the energy, oil and gas, chemical, or hybrid industries.
  • 5+ years of experience in project engineering responsibility.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and control system modernization projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in scope definition and execution for Front End Loading (FEL) and Detailed Design phases.
  • Experience in coordinating engineering, construction, purchasing, and scheduling.
  • Self-motivated and innovative, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
