Job Summary

This is a part-time supervisor position in the Food Services department at Memorial Healthcare System. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily staff activities, providing leadership and training to staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory food and employee safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate daily staff activities to ensure efficient operation of the Food Services department.
  • Provide leadership, orientation, training, and coaching to staff to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory food and employee safety requirements, including HACCP guidelines and departmental policies.
  • Assist with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Coordinate and supervise staffing assignments based on daily volumes and departmental needs.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3 years of food service experience
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interactions with staff, patients, and visitors. The position requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The candidate must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Physical Requirements

The position requires frequent standing, walking, and bending. The candidate must be able to lift or carry up to 35 pounds and push or pull up to 75 pounds. The position also requires frequent use of a computer and other office equipment.
