Job Summary:As a food service associate, you will perform a variety of food service functions, including assisting customers with food requests, preparing food, replenishing work stations, and completing assigned kitchen activities. You may also transport food carts and trays. Your role will require a strong commitment to food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our culinary team to ensure exceptional patient satisfaction and to contribute to the overall success of Memorial Healthcare System.

Responsibilities:• Assist customers with food requests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Prepare food, following recipes and food safety guidelines, to ensure high-quality meals are provided to patients and staff.
• Replenish work stations, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and completing assigned kitchen activities.
• Transport food carts and trays, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines, adhering to regulatory standards and ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Requirements:• No degree or prior education is required for this position. However, a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and management.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential for this role.
• You must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make sound judgments in a timely manner.
• Physical requirements include standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required to perform tasks efficiently and effectively.

Compensation:We offer a competitive salary range for this position, based on your skills and experience. The estimated annual salary for this role is between $35,000 and $40,000, depending on your qualifications and performance. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, as mentioned earlier. Wages and benefits may vary based on your individual circumstances and qualifications. Working Conditions:The work environment for this role is fast-paced and dynamic, with a high level of activity and interaction with patients and staff. You will be required to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds. You may also be exposed to extreme temperatures, wet or slippery surfaces, and potential hazards such as sharp objects or hot equipment. However, we take the safety and well-being of our employees seriously and provide a safe and healthy work environment. We also offer regular training and support to ensure your safety and success in this role.

Shift:This position typically works a standard day shift, Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility to cover lunch or afternoon shifts. You will be required to work a set schedule, with some flexibility to cover special events or unexpected absences. You must be able to work effectively in a team environment and be willing to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
