The Nemours Children's Health Delaware Valley continues our tradition of delivering outstanding care to children. Recognized among the top pediatric hospitals nationally and awarded the ANCC's Magnet Designation for nursing excellence, we provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services across more than 30 pediatric specialties. Our recent expansion includes new inpatient rooms, a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and an Emergency Department, allowing us to serve even more children through community-based physician services and partnerships with health systems.
Key Responsibilities
This position entails local leadership, management, and the ongoing development and retention of skilled clinical staff within Therapeutic & Rehabilitative Services. Responsibilities may encompass multiple units. You will supervise associates, ensure adequate staffing and patient flow, support family-centered care, manage service operations, and enhance customer satisfaction. You will identify service improvement opportunities, propose recommendations, and implement actions aligned with the hospital's and Nemours Foundation's objectives. Additionally, you will oversee the execution of strategic initiatives and, in collaboration with the Director, prepare budgets and monitor the department's financial performance. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements is essential.
On a limited basis, in accordance with licensing requirements, you may provide evaluations, treatments, and consultations to patients, adhering to departmental and hospital policies. This role also involves coordinating and ensuring the operational integrity of the designated clinical program in collaboration with department Managers/Director. You will lead the team and manage daily clinical assignments, including performance management, while facilitating the ongoing development and retention of qualified clinical staff. Participation in Quality Improvement activities is expected, where you will identify service enhancement opportunities and ensure patient safety, making recommendations and implementing necessary actions. You will assist in the execution of strategic planning initiatives.
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree is required; eligibility for Delaware clinical licensure is necessary.
- New Jersey State clinical license in Physical Therapy, Speech Pathology, or Occupational Therapy is required upon hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Eligibility for Delaware or other designated clinical licenses is required.
- AHA BLS/CPR certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment and maintained for the duration of employment.
- Membership in professional specialty organizations is preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years of management experience is preferred.
- Pediatric experience is preferred.
