Job Summary

Washington County Mental Health Services is seeking a skilled Behavioral Interventionist to join our team. As a Behavioral Interventionist, you will work closely with youth to provide supportive counseling, social skills training, and daily living skills development. You will also provide direct supervision and crisis intervention as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to youth to help them build confidence and navigate their world successfully.
  • Develop and implement behavioral support plans to help youth improve their emotional regulation and build positive relationships.
  • Collaborate with mental health and educational providers to provide comprehensive support to youth.
  • Provide direct supervision to enrolled children or youth within a school setting.
  • Implement behavioral programming and provide counseling in social, recreational, and daily living skills in school and community-based settings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human services, education, or psychology.
  • Experience working in a human service setting serving children or youth.
  • Valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
  • Access to a safe, reliable vehicle that meets Vermont's minimum insurance requirements.
  • Daily physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, and running, as well as the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
