Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of GED or High School Diploma
- Basic forklift operation; no prior experience necessary, infrequent use
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols: Steel-toed footwear (provided), long pants, uniform (provided), safety glasses, and successful completion of background and drug screening
Role Description:
We are seeking a diligent individual who can consistently adhere to established procedures and demonstrate reliability in their role. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of maintaining an operator position over an extended duration, with a preference for experience in a chemical handling environment. The Packaging Specialist will oversee the packaging process for chemical orders, collaborating with the site planner, operations supervisor, and shipping team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving materials that have passed final quality checks
- Preparing appropriate packaging containers
- Filling containers according to specified configurations
- Final labeling of packaged products prior to transfer to shipping
You will be accountable for the accuracy, cleanliness, and timely completion of all orders. Additionally, meticulous documentation and computer transactions will be required to support packaging and ERP systems, ensuring adherence to our high-quality standards across all operations. Beyond packaging duties, you will also maintain and verify the accuracy of departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure proper inventory management, organization, and cleanliness within the packaging area.
