Job Title: Quotation Specialist

Rittal North America is seeking a skilled Quotation Specialist to join our team in Urbana, OH. As a key member of our sales support team, you will play a critical role in preparing quotation packages that meet customer requirements and ensure our products are competitively priced.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize technical knowledge to prepare accurate and comprehensive quotation packages.
  • Interpret customer requirements and match products to specifications to ensure quotes are technically compatible and competitive.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to determine and clarify order details.
  • Apply product knowledge and manufacturing capabilities to quote effective solutions for customers and Rittal.
  • Support and maintain quote tools and SAP system configuration.
  • Monitor customer applications and provide feedback to Product Management on recurring configuration/part requests.
  • Coordinate with sourcing and procurement to quote special items from outside vendors.
  • Work with manufacturing to provide reduced lead times at the time of quotation.
  • Support custom orders by providing clarification and developing alternatives when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a technical field, such as mechanical or electrical engineering, or business.
  • Experience in a manufacturer and seller of industrial products, with a focus on distribution and direct customer interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience with SAP, AutoCAD, or Visio is a plus.
