Job Title: Private Duty Nurse LPN High Acuity

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Private Duty Nurse LPN to provide high-acuity care to a medically fragile child in Durham, NC.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced LPN to join our team as a Private Duty Nurse. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will provide one-on-one care to a child with complex medical needs, including G-tube, trach, vent, and oxygen therapy. You will work closely with the child's family and our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement a personalized care plan.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement the physician's prescribed plan of care
  • Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
  • Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
  • Document care provided in our electronic system of record
  • Provide health education and training to family members
  • Accept and write verbal orders from physicians as required
  • Follow up with the physician, client, family members, and Case Manager on client problems, concerns, and/or changes in client condition
Qualifications:
  • Active, unencumbered LPN license in the state of NC
  • Current CPR certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • TB skin test (current within the last 12 months)
  • Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Reliable transportation
