We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

The Application Quality Assurance Specialist will support the development and implementation of testing strategies for applications.

This role will involve creating test plans, test cases, and scripts; conducting tests to ensure that systems meet or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.

The specialist will also execute test scripts according to application requirements documentation and retest software corrections to ensure problems are resolved.

Responsibilities:

  • Document evolution of testing cases/scripts for future replication
  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, business analysts, development, and quality assurance teams
  • Have direct accountability for planning and execution of application testing
  • Lead team on testing scope across applications as well as estimated completion dates
  • Lead team to continually improve internal processes, workflows, team collaboration, and results
  • Facilitate providing test data requirements and enrich test cases to ensure alignment to business initiatives
  • Collaborate in identifying risks as well as mitigations to defects or process deficiencies wherever possible to ensure release readiness
  • Identify defects and work directly with developer to resolve and validate fixes
  • Provide daily operational support and facilitate defect triage for production environments
  • Perform end-to-end testing to ensure appropriate functionality, product integrity, accuracy, and quality of all changes and enhancements
  • Analyze and troubleshoot erroneous results, determine root cause, and suggest solutions
  • Continuous improvement and refinement on tests based on pre-production validation, post-production results, and feedback from other groups as needed
  • Assist with creation and/or updates of standard operating procedures
  • Identify and assist in investigative items to potentially resolve production defects and create future enhancements
  • Prioritize projects based on business need
  • Assess risks and develop strategies to lower probability of errors and/or quality of out-of-network products
  • Update leadership regarding testing status
  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • 2-5 years experience in Business Analysis or Systems Analysis
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
  • Basic level experience in an IT testing role
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Software
  • Effective listening skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong initiative
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • SQL Experience preferred but not mandatory
