Job Opportunity at Clark College

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced English instructor to join our part-time faculty team at Clark College. As an adjunct faculty member, you will have the opportunity to teach a variety of courses in English, including composition, technical writing, and literature.

Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned classes, incorporating departmental student learning outcomes and using a variety of instructional modalities, including in-person and online.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, using appropriate teaching methods to respond to varying student learning styles.
  • Maintain currency in the discipline by participating in professional development activities and staying current with best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Demonstrate respect for others, ability to work well with people of all ages from diverse backgrounds, and commitment to student learning and educational goal attainment.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher in English or a related field.
  • Postsecondary experience teaching composition and/or technical writing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional materials.
