Job Summary: A clinical-stage biotech company is seeking a Research Associate for a 6-month contract within the Translational Biology Group. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to discovering and advancing new drug candidates and disease biomarkers related to fibrosis.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assigned assays and laboratory tasks according to established protocols, emphasizing data quality and reproducibility.
- Acquire new laboratory techniques, troubleshoot experiments, and ensure high-quality design and execution of studies.
- Make detailed observations, maintain accurate records, and analyze data, including keeping organized physical and electronic lab notebooks.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field, with at least 2 years of full-time laboratory experience in an industry or academic setting.
- Hands-on experience with essential cell biology procedures, including cell culture, qPCR, ELISA, Western blotting, and immunofluorescence staining is required. Experience with Nanostring and MSD assays is a plus.
- Comfortable working with ex vivo tissues from human and rodent sources.
