Speech Pathologist Per Diem Position

As a Per Diem Speech Pathologist at Huntington Hospital Inc, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic evaluations of patients with communication disorders and administering speech and language treatment to patients. You will participate in the management of patient care, including identifying communicative disorders' diagnosis, linking and scheduling patients with required services, monitoring care delivery, advocating for patients, and evaluating outcomes. This position requires flexibility of hours and the ability to work with neuro-rehabilitation patients, including those with TBI, SCI, and stroke.
Responsibilities:
Performs diagnostic evaluations of patients with communication disorders
Administers speech and language treatment to patients
Participates in the management of patient care, including identifying communicative disorders' diagnosis, linking and scheduling patients with required services, monitoring care delivery, advocating for patients, and evaluating outcomes
Facilitates patient care across the healthcare continuum and assists other team members
Requirements:
Masters degree in Speech Pathology, Language Pathology, or Communicative Disorders required
Current unrestricted Speech Pathologist License (SLP) issued by the state of California Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensary Board
Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
Work Environment:
This position requires flexibility of hours and the ability to work with neuro-rehabilitation patients, including those with TBI, SCI, and stroke. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients with similar conditions and will be able to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
