Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus. This full-time position offers a competitive salary based on experience and a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Summary:

The Ophthalmic Technician will perform comprehensive testing and eye evaluations to ensure optimum vision for all Eye Clinic patients. This includes performing various testing, such as visual field tests, acuity testing, color vision testing, potential acuity meter testing, biometric A-scans, external and slit lamp examinations, and pachymetry testing.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine cleaning, maintenance, calibration, and minor adjustments/repairs on all clinic equipment.
  • Notify the appropriate department for additional maintenance.
  • Perform the surgical scheduling process for all Eye Clinic patients.
  • Communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others while showing respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years as an Ophthalmic Technician.
  • Hospital experience must be within the last five years.
