Medical Scribe Ophthalmology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our team at Associated Retinal Consultants. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a critical role in supporting our physicians and staff by accurately documenting patient information and assisting with various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Function as a scribe for physicians, requiring knowledge and understanding of retina-specific ophthalmology terminology.
- Utilize electronic medical records and image management systems to document patient information.
- Assist with patient preparation and rooming for treatments and minor procedures.
- Measure and record visual acuity, intraocular pressures, and other vital signs as required.
- Perform basic visual field testing and patient education as directed by physicians.
- Prepare patients for treatments and minor procedures, and measure and record vital signs as required.
- Successfully complete and maintain scribe certification, and complete computerized order entry under the direction of physicians.
- High School Diploma or higher.
- Strong attention to detail and expert keyboard skills.
- Ability to understand and correctly spell medical terminology and numbers as percentages.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and provide superior customer service to patients.
Work in a clean office environment with moderate physical activity, standing, bending, sitting, walking, pulling, and lifting for most of the work shift. Potential exposure to body fluids with direct patient contact and possible hazardous chemicals.
