Job Title: LPN (Part-Time)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN to join our team at Brook at High Falls Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. As a Part-Time LPN, you will play a vital role in providing direct nursing care to our residents and supervising the day-to-day activities of our certified nursing assistants (CNAs).

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications as directed by physician orders
  • Change dressings as directed by physician orders and report all changes in wounds to the RN Nurse Manager or Supervisor
  • Maintain the safety of residents at all times
  • Direct CNAs in the completion of their duties
  • Assist CNAs in meeting the needs of residents when available
  • Complete accident/incident reports as necessary and chart all reports involving residents
  • Report all complaints and grievances made by residents to the appropriate source
Requirements:
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN in NYS
  • Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
  • Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position
  • Willingness to work as a team player
  • Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition
Working Conditions:
  • Work in all areas of the facility
  • Subject to frequent interruptions and may need to reschedule nursing activities
  • Subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, personnel, and visitors
Personal Requirements:
  • Attends in-service programs and staff development programs as provided by the facility to maintain compliance with the Department of Health and other regulatory agencies
