Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Veterinarian to join our team at one of our Vetco Total Care veterinary full-service hospitals.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled animal lover with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

About the Role

As a Veterinarian at Petco, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pets and their families.

You will provide high-quality patient care, develop treatment plans, and perform routine and complex surgical procedures.

In addition, you will participate in rounds, disseminate knowledge throughout staff, and maintain a professional attitude and demeanor during emotional and stressful situations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school.
  • An active licensure as a veterinarian without contingencies in the state where the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date.
  • A current DEA license.
  • A USDA Category I (minimum) Accreditation or completion within two months of hire date.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Compassion and sympathy when interacting with clients and their pets.
  • A willingness to learn new techniques and treatments and adapt to changing circumstances.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
