This organization is renowned for manufacturing semiconductor devices utilized in computer processing, as well as producing flash memories, graphics processors, motherboard chipsets, and various components for consumer electronics.
Job Description:
THE ROLE:
- This role is intended for a seasoned engineer with expertise in GPU programming and optimization, demonstrating a strong capability to analyze GPU code and deliver highly parallel solutions.
- You will collaborate with a team focused on developing and fine-tuning a computational geometry application for client CPU and GPU platforms.
THE PERSON:
- A software development engineer with a background in writing GPU code to address challenges in the computational geometry field and a proven history of teamwork.
- Must be self-driven and able to thrive in a collaborative team setting.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of pertinent industry experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and enhance application code for client CPU and GPU systems.
- Provide specialized knowledge to other teams within the organization.
- Engage with product groups to facilitate the resolution of application and customer-related issues.
- Create initial documentation for GPU library code.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Comprehensive understanding of computational geometry and electronic design automation.
- Extensive experience with modern C++ programming.
- Experience in debugging and profiling highly parallel code.
- Strong performance analysis capabilities for both CPU and GPU.
- Experience in implementing and optimizing parallel methods on GPU accelerators in distributed memory systems using CUDA, HIP, OpenCL.
- Familiarity with CUDA/ROCm libraries such as Thrust, CUB, etc., is preferred.
- Experience with build system tools and continuous integration systems.
- In-depth knowledge of software development practices, including debugging, testing, version control, documentation, and bug tracking.
- Strong collaborative development skills, including proficiency with git and Jira.
