Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in a variety of settings, including emergency vehicles and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced life support care to patients, including administering medications, performing procedures, and stabilizing patients for transport to medical facilities.
  • Operate emergency vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including medical histories, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest medical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • State certification as a Paramedic, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Paramedic
  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) and approved Defensive Driving course
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred Licensure or other certifications: Critical Care Paramedic certification
  • Preferred Educational Requirements: Associate's degree in Emergency Medical Services or related field
  • Preferred Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Paramedic
