Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the complete autonomy architecture, including sensor selection and sensor fusion algorithms.
  • Write high-performance, reliable, and maintainable code to support the autonomy of a fleet of lunar rovers.
  • Collaborate with the Embedded Software team to integrate autonomy algorithms into custom spacefaring hardware.
  • Contribute to architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure system quality and functionality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on building autonomous vehicles.
  • Proven experience in selecting sensors for vehicle autonomy.
  • Proficiency in developing software algorithms for autonomy in aerospace, automotive, or robotics applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing, debugging, and deploying software used in real-world applications.
  • Expertise in integrating software onto custom electronic hardware.
  • Familiarity with start-up or agile development environments.
  • Professional experience in engineering leadership.
