About the PositionWe are seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team at Coarc, a reputable organization providing support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients by providing emotional, physical, and personal support. You will work closely with each individual to develop a shared relationship that supports their unique needs and desires.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional written and communication skills, as well as basic computer proficiency. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a trusting relationship with clients by being reliable and on-time with scheduled activities.
- Assist clients in achieving their personal goals and outcomes through proactive problem-solving and decision-making support.
- Provide medication administration support as needed, while adhering to all Agency policies and procedures.
- Document all services delivered in accordance with Agency guidelines.
- Participate in service planning meetings and advocate for changes when necessary.
