About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Arete in Tucson, AZ. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating electronic equipment, including advanced imaging systems, LIDAR equipment, SONAR systems, and motion control/pointing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Develop detailed designs of circuit card and system electronics, including schematics, component selection, and layout requirements.
  • Integration and Testing: Lead the integration and testing of electronic subsystems to ensure they meet performance requirements.
  • Project Engineering: Provide project engineering leadership, ensuring that complex projects progress smoothly by solving issues and anticipating problems before they arise.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive the development and integration of advanced systems.
Requirements
  • 3+ years Electrical Engineering experience with BS/BA in Computer/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Hands on experience designing electronic circuitry and circuit card assemblies
  • Experience with FPGAs, microprocessors, power systems, and analog circuitry
  • Demonstrated track record with high performance digital systems
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with interdisciplinary teams
