Medical Assistant Position Summary

As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant works to provide patient-centered care delivery. The MA provides initial preparation of patients prior to the provider's encounter, including pre-charting, rooming, and taking vitals. The MA assists providers in patient care activities as directed, updates and records in the EHR system, orders and restocks exam rooms and office supplies as needed, and performs additional duties, including answering the clinical phone line, triaging patient calls, scheduling procedures, and some prior authorizations.

Medical Assistant Position Requirements

Previous physician office experience is preferred. Experience with electronic health records is also preferred. A high school graduate or equivalent is required. A graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program is preferred. Medical Assistant certification is preferred, and medical terminology is also preferred. Strong typing, spelling, and grammar skills are required.

Medical Assistant Work Schedule

The Medical Assistant works Monday through Friday, Day Shift.

Medical Assistant Benefits

At TidalHealth, full-time employees working at least 80 hours per pay period and part-time employees working at least 40 hours per pay period are eligible for benefits. Benefits include medical, prescription, vision, dental, flexible spending accounts, disability insurance plans, life insurance, paid time off plans, retirement plans, tuition assistance, employee assistance, and access to on-site childcare and a credit union. Salary range: $16.72-$23.41, commensurate with experience.
