Human Resources Consultant

This role is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at Compass Corporate as an HR Advisor.
Job DescriptionAs an HR Advisor, you will be the primary contact for inquiries related to interpreting HR policies, procedures, and programs for all associates and managers. You will provide guidance to managers in handling difficult or complex employee relations issues and resolve complaints or disputes. Your responsibilities will include investigating issues, providing advice on disciplinary actions and terminations, and consulting with in-house Legal Counsel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to telephone and email inquiries regarding employee relations matters by interpreting company policies, referring questions to Payroll or Benefits Help Desks when necessary, and acting as an intermediary between associates and these departments.
- Provide guidance to managers in resolving complaints or disputes, advising them on appropriate disciplinary actions and procedures, and assessing risks associated with terminations.
- Investigate issues related to working conditions, disciplinary actions, associate appeals, alleged wrongful terminations, harassment, and discrimination allegations, and provide resolutions accordingly.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent degree or experience.
- Two years of experience as an HR representative/generalist in a large company or supporting a line Business Unit.
- English/Spanish bilingual preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including ability to perform queries in SAP, generate reports, perform web-based research, and create case management files in HR software.
