As a member of the Cardiac/Stroke Unit team at Sentara CarePlex Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and develop your skills in cardiac care and stroke management.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and admit patients, conducting thorough evaluations to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to meet patient needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including communication with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN or MSN preferred)
- Current RN licensure in North Carolina or Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of hire
- Experience in cardiac care and stroke management (preferred)
