We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team as a Per Diem Hospital Medicine Unit member. As a key member of our collaborative care team, you will work closely with attending Hospitalists to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the reduction of length of stay and improvement of care delivery efficiency.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care to medical inpatients through co-management with attending physicians
- Follow a total of 6 patients on average, with one possible admission per day
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote resource management and patient-centered care
- Diagnose and treat health problems, acquire patient histories, perform comprehensive physical exams, and prepare treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to deliver care appropriate to the age of the patients served
- Current Massachusetts licensure and active certifications as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- General medical inpatient experience preferred; new graduates will be considered
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) standards as established by the American Heart Association
