Senior Design Manager

NTT Global Data Centers is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Global Infrastructure Development team, you will play a critical role in the design and development of our data centers.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the design development and production of construction documents and specifications for data center projects.
- Coordinate with internal discipline leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Manage consultant contracts and ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Review and approve consultant invoices and ensure quality and timeliness of performance.
- Interact with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) for initial planning, requirements identification, and approvals.
- Prepare monthly project-specific design work plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Effectively manage the project design team (internal and external) and equipment suppliers to ensure the provision of required services.
- Assign and manage workload of consultants to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Ensure all potential and ongoing projects are properly documented, designed, and priced per customer/lease requirements.
- Participate in AOC and OAC meetings and keep stakeholders knowledgeable of design elements and changes.
- Bachelor's degree in design, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data centers or other specialized experience in critical facilities or other technically sophisticated project types.
- Strong working acumen with CSA and MEP systems development.
- Excellent coordination and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with building codes, federal guidelines, and OSHA regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present ideas effectively.
- Experience in interfacing and coordinating intra-disciplinary departments.
- Ability to develop creative and innovative solutions to reduce costs without sacrificing quality and reliability.
