We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Expanded Practice Dental Hygienist to join our team at Smile Keepers. As an EPDH, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional oral health care to our patients in community settings.
Job Summary:The Expanded Practice Dental Hygienist will work independently in multiple community locations, using a high level of decision-making skills to complete all hygiene services, intra-oral photos, x-rays, assessments, and preventive treatments. You will also use state-of-the-art tele-health technology to communicate and collaborate with dentists, and prescribe antibiotics when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as the Oral Health Champion in the medical clinic/hospital/multiple community setting.
- Collaborate with medical providers to provide close integration of oral health and primary care.
- Administrative tasks- insurance verification, using computers- EHR (dental and medical software) Word/Excel.
- Marketing/Education/Professional collaboration and networking within community settings- Educate patients, colleagues, community stakeholders on the importance of oral health at all levels of the community setting.
- Accredited Hygiene Technical School or College
- Current applicable State Dental License (or the ability to acquire one by the time of employment)
- Oregon EPDH license
- Other licenses/certifications such as CPR, local certified anesthesia
