As a Pharmacy Technician Certified/ED Med History, you will work closely with pharmacists to prepare medications, screen prescriptions, and supply patients with correctly filled medication orders. You will also perform tasks involved with storage, distribution, packaging, and labeling of drugs, as well as complete associated record keeping and charging activities. This role requires strong patient communication skills, both in person and via telephone, and the ability to work under the supervision of a pharmacist. Additionally, you will participate in performance improvement activities within Pharmacy and with outside departments to identify and rectify problems.
Requirements- Preferred High School Diploma
- 2-4 years Pharmacy experience Preferred
- 2-4 years Hospital pharmacy experience Preferred
- PTCB - Certified Pharmacy Tech
- PTSR - Pharmacy Tech State Registration
Good customer service skills and work habits are required. You must attend CE meetings or accomplish necessary CE to retain certification. Strong patient communication skills are necessary, in person and via telephone.
