Job Summary:

The Dining Services Associate provides exceptional dining room service to residents and guests at SageLife communities. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service, working collaboratively as part of a team, and upholding the values of SageLife.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dining room service to residents and guests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and adherence to service standards.
  • Prepare tables for meals, including setting up linens, silverware, and glassware, and cleaning tables after residents and guests have finished dining.
  • Assist with special events and social hours, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for residents and guests.
  • Ensure that residents receive appropriate food choices for any special dietary needs, such as diabetic or low-salt diets.
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpet, and tidying up the server station.
  • Stay up-to-date with state and facility required annual training, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school or GED equivalent.
  • One year of experience as a server or in a related role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to read, speak, and understand English at a 12th grade level or higher.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Able to hear, speak, bend, stoop, stand, reach as needed.
  • Able to walk up and down four flights of stairs.

Other Requirements:

  • Able to stay beyond scheduled shift in the event of an emergency or inclement weather.
