PRN Clinical Services Associate

We are seeking a PRN, friendly and personable Registered or Certified Medical Assistant for our clinics in the Greenville/Upstate area.
Locations include: Anderson, Duncan, Greenville (Woodruff Rd, Verdae Blvd), Greer, Powdersville, Simpsonville, Taylors & Travelers Rest.
*Candidates must possess a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant qualification from an accredited institution.*
Work hours are from 8am to 8pm, with a minimum requirement of 4 shifts per month. The schedule includes rotating weekends and occasional holidays, with a monthly schedule provided. Employees will have a designated 'home' location, with occasional travel to other sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist during treatment.
- Conduct triage and obtain vital signs.
- Accurately document patient history in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Maintain confidentiality while managing patient and business documents.
- Collect routine laboratory specimens, including blood draws and urinalysis.
- Administer medications and non-intravenous injections.
- Perform IV starts, catheter placements, and splinting as required.
- Execute various clinical and laboratory procedures.
- Document all medical interventions in the EMR promptly and accurately.
- Assist with Occupational Medicine services, including drug screening and pulmonary function testing.
- Ensure compliance with health care regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality assurance programs for laboratory compliance.
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
- Perform general administrative duties and operate medical office equipment.
- Travel to various locations as necessary based on staffing needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- One year of relevant healthcare experience, preferably in urgent care or emergency settings.
- Willingness to train new graduates.
- Proficiency in venipuncture and injections.
- Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiology.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to sit, walk, and reach throughout the workday.
- Finger dexterity and hand coordination are essential.
- Occasional lifting of moderate weights may be required.
- Specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision, are necessary.
