Pharmacist, PRN

Job Summary:

As a Pharmacist, PRN, you will provide patient care through the provision of direct operational and/or clinical patient services. You will collaborate with the department to enhance departmental operations and clinical programs. This role requires employees to work weekends, any required evenings, and holidays. The amount of time allocated to operations and clinical services will depend upon staffing and overall pharmacy workload.

Accountabilities:

• Provides accurate medication order-entry, drug distribution, and patient care.
• Confirms the appropriateness of drug therapy as it relates to the care of neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Seeks to minimize turnaround time for products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Provides concise, applicable, timely responses to requests for drug information.
• Supervises pharmacy support personnel; checks and verifies the accuracy of all tasks performed.
• Provides lab review, clinical services, patient education, and corresponding documentation via the departmental clinical initiatives.
• Provides experiential education and training for technicians, students, and new employees.
• Represents the department in its collaborative effort to integrate pharmaceutical care throughout the patient's continuum of care.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree - BS or PharmD degree.
• South Carolina Pharmacist License.
• Basic Computer Skills, Data Entry, Math Skills.
