Job Summary

Alpine Silica is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair production and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments to equipment.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to prevent downtime and ensure safety.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform duties.
  • Participate in the maintenance On-Call system to ensure 24/7 coverage.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with MSHA regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Requirements
  • A minimum of three years combined manufacturing/processing work experience and schooling.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Associate degree or technical school equivalent preferred.
  • Welder certification preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty environments.
  • Ability to climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, stoop, squat, tolerate prolonged standing/walking, balance, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, push, and pull objects.
  • Ability to operate hand controls with both hands and operate mobile equipment, foot pedals with both feet.
  • Ability to perform sustained overhead reaching and tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather.
  • Ability to work in cramped quarters and lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 150 feet.
  • Ability to tolerate working at heights up to 150 feet.
