Position Overview

A reputable healthcare organization is actively seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to support our OB/GYN department.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Rooming patients and managing check-in and check-out processes.
  • Conducting lab draws and scheduling patient appointments.
  • Handling phone inquiries, referrals, and messages, including Pigeon text communications.
  • Assisting with medical procedures and ensuring cleanliness and organization of examination rooms.
  • Managing prescription refills and prior authorization requests.
  • Completing necessary forms and performing various administrative tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must possess a diploma or certification in medical assisting, or provide a graduate transcript. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is mandatory. Experience with EHR/EMR systems is preferred, with NextGen familiarity being an advantage. A minimum of one year of experience in an OB/GYN setting is desirable.
