Job Summary:
We are seeking a Part-Time Server to join our team at Friendship Village, a 5-star Food and Beverage Team at one of the Nation's Top Senior Living Communities. As a Server, you will provide exceptional table service to Residents in a vibrant and professional manner, always offering them the best service imaginable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set tables and maintain work stations in proper order.
- Take orders, provide service, and requested items both graciously and courteously.
- Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service.
- Answer pertinent questions about menu items.
- Prepare therapeutic desserts and salads, as required.
- Transport hot and cold foods to and from the Village Care Center, as needed.
- Transport all required non-food items to and from the Village Care Center, main dining room, and bistro, as needed.
- Maintain sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English, perform simple arithmetic, and follow written or oral instructions in English.
- Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred, but not required. Will train on-the-job.
- Ability to interpret and explain the menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate the meal service process, and respond to requests.
- Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor, and peers. Requires courtesy, tact, and graciousness.
- Fundamental understanding of hospitality, customer service, table service techniques, personal hygiene, and appearance.
