Athletic Trainer Professional

Job Summary:

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a Full Time Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to join our team in Simsbury, CT. As a key member of our sports medicine team, you will provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical evaluation, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries & medical conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician
• Participate in the Athletic Training Services program, covering school athletic events and practices
• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for rehabilitation of injured athletes
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques to decrease the risk of injury
• Maintain proper lines of communication to ensure athletes receive optimal care within the sports medicine team
• Prudently manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures, and provide basic life support to reduce the impact on function of injured athletes

Qualifications:

• BS Degree REQUIRED, Masters degree preferred
• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) certification
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Applicable state license where required
