Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Developmental Support Professional to join our team at Community Residences. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working Monday through Wednesday, 11pm-9am. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment, developing strategies to support clients' independence, and facilitating their participation in community-based activities.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to identify client needs and implement individualized plans of care. This includes monitoring medical, physical, and behavioral changes, reporting concerns to supervisors, and documenting progress.

In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will participate in training opportunities, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to CRI's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Create a positive learning environment and develop strategies to promote clients' independence.
  2. Implement Individual Plans of Care, record data, and report progress.
  3. Monitor medical, physical, and behavioral changes, and report concerns.
  4. Administer medication to clients, as prescribed.
  5. Participate in meal planning, preparation, and cleanup.
  6. Maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and upkeep of the house and properties.
  7. Conduct self in a professional manner when interacting with clients, colleagues, and members of the community.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in Human Services.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Valid CT driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to lift and transfer up to 75 pounds.
Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
