Support Specialist for Mental Wellness

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Specialist for Mental Wellness to join our team in the Torrington area.
Job Description
This full-time position offers an estimated salary of $40,000 per year, with a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct support services to adults in recovery from mental health conditions, including documenting daily progress and behaviors.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with individuals in recovery to ensure participation in programs and activities.
- Develop and implement Individualized Recovery Plans (IRPs) to promote independence and community integration.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) skills, such as cleaning and cooking.
- Communicate effectively with therapists, referral sources, and community agencies.
- Document daily progress and behaviors in confidential charts.
Requirements:
- GED or High School Diploma required.
- 2 years of related experience and/or degree in a related field.
- Knowledge of basic counseling skills.
