Key Responsibilities
  • Perform paraprofessional accounting and fiscal control functions, including accounts payable, travel reimbursement, and procurement processes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical program support for an accounting office or related financial function.
  • Assess compliance by analyzing financial reports.
  • Balance, reconcile, and maintain accounting/financial records and related transactions.
  • Apply the Agency's travel policy to all travel-related payment requests.
  • Review and process employee travel-related expense reimbursements.
  • Process all procurement transactions for the Region and State Hospital.
  • Maintain inventory records.
  • Disburse payments and post to appropriate accounts.
  • Compile and prepare accounting reports.
  • Develop budget data and related documents.
  • Review documents for compliance and communicate program information/regulations to clients.
  • Assist individuals at the Business Office checkout counter with retrieving valuables and ensure individuals' valuables are properly safeguarded in the Business Office.
  • Prepare the facility's operating receipts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university.
