HonorHealth is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
Key Responsibilities:- Reviews patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, imaging site, and protocols.
- Transports patients to and from the exam room and assists them into position using safe patient handling techniques and equipment.
- Performs Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures and observes patient during procedure to ensure patient's safety and comfort.
- Administers contrast materials as required and initiates emergency response to contrast reaction as needed.
- Obtains and evaluates images for technical quality assurance factors, including image laterality marking and annotation as required by IR procedure protocols.
- Utilizes RIS, PACS, and other ancillary image management systems as needed.
- Assists in coordination of daily workflow for the department's activities.
- Maintains equipment in efficient operating order and performs and documents all required quality control testing.
- Rotates throughout the department as staffing and volume dictates.
- Participates in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff, as needed.
- Maintains an orderly, clean, and safe environment of patients and staff in assigned area.
- Associate's Degree from an accredited NLN/CCNE or ARRT Vocational/Specialized Training.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRTLC) Valid and current AZ State Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Valid and current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider course and must be provided prior to start date.
