Heavy-Duty Diesel Service Technician

The Larson Group Peterbilt is seeking an experienced Diesel Service Technician to join our team. This role involves performing all functions of a fully qualified heavy-duty truck repair mechanic under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair heavy-duty truck equipment and related components, ensuring thorough testing to guarantee proper repairs.
  • Train new technicians to maintain a high level of technical expertise.
  • Adhere to safety rules and company policies at all times.
  • Communicate with Service Foreman regarding unavailable parts for repairs.
  • Document all troubleshooting steps, repair results, and other relevant information in detail.
  • Save all warrantable parts, labeling them with repair order number, S/N, customer name, and date.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, returning tools used and advising the next shift's technicians of any special instructions or concerns.
  • Meet efficiency and productivity goals set by the Service Manager.
  • Retain a Peterbilt online training percentage of 95%.
  • Obtain and maintain a Class A or B CDL during employment.
  • Perform other duties and repairs as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A High School diploma is required.
  • A college degree or trade school certificate is preferred but not necessary.
  • Experience in a related field is preferred but not required.
  • A Class A CDL must be possessed or obtained.
  • A Motor Vehicle Record adhering to TLG MVR Guidelines is necessary.
