Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist Level II to join our diagnostic imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate MRI Equipment: Perform patient studies according to established protocols, including placing coils close to areas of interest and adjusting equipment settings to ensure optimal diagnostic quality.
  • Ensure Patient Safety: Explain safety protocols to patients, request removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitor patients via closed-circuit TV to ensure a safe imaging environment.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees in MRI procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and high-quality imaging services.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest MRI technologies and techniques.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum two years of continuous experience as a MRI Technologist, with a strong track record of proficiency in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Radiologic Technologist Certificate (California) and Certified Radiologic Technologist - Venipuncture Certificate (California) within six months of hire.
  • Additional Requirements: Effective oral and written communication skills, ability to present information to customers and colleagues, and willingness to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment.
