Head Lifeguard

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Lifeguard to join our team at Onelife Fitness. As a key member of our Aquatics Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our members and guests while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Aquatics Director with daily operations of the aquatic department
• Guard the pool and maintain a safe and clean aquatic environment
• Deliver exceptional customer service to members and guests
• Enforce pool rules and regulations in a professional manner
• Perform rescue operations and provide first aid as needed
• Test water quality and maintain records
• Assist with equipment maintenance and report any issues
• Address member and guest inquiries and provide referrals as needed
• Enforce the aquatics schedule and perform patron and youth swimming tests
• Complete all necessary paperwork and attend required meetings and trainings

Requirements

• Current lifeguarding certification, including professional rescue
• Current pool operators certification (CPO)
• 2 years of experience in an aquatics setting
• Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills
• Ability to motivate and nurture others
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
