Gear Product Specialist

Geartec, Inc. is seeking a skilled Gear Product Engineer to collaborate with our manufacturing and repair facilities, leveraging hands-on experience in industrial gear and gearbox manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with the Engineering Manager and manufacturing team to diagnose and determine repair scope for incoming gearboxes and supplied gears.
- Collaborate with QC inspectors to reverse engineer parts for repair or replacement.
- Coordinate disassembly and cleaning processes for gearboxes to ensure timely determination of repair scope.
- Create reports and estimates to support customer service with quotation processes.
- Review or create manufacturing routings for component parts, including inspection plans as necessary.
- Provide support to manufacturing, including disassembly and assembly of gearboxes, ensuring customer requirements are met.
- Occasional trips to customer sites for equipment review or technical presentations.
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to multitask, set priorities, meet deadlines with high accuracy and organization, and interact with all levels of the company.
- Proficiency in 3-D Modeling software (preferably AutoCAD Inventor).
- Knowledge/experience with gear machining and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in the mechanical drive/power transmission industry preferred (understanding of bearings, shafting, oil seals, and supporting housing).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy with MS Office applications; design experience with Inventor/AutoCad a plus.
