Assembly Specialist

The primary function of the Assembler is to assemble components into finished goods following engineering drawings and/or instruction from the Assembly Manager and Assistant Assembly Manager using various tools and fixtures.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble parts using basic tools in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate counts of items assembled
- Log in and out of work order control system
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Perform the job with minimal supervision
- Due to the nature of the work, non-productive interaction with fellow employees must be kept to a minimum
- Perform other assignments as required by the Assembly Manager and Assistant Assembly Manager such as: Testing, Engraving, and/or Packaging
- Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Mathematical Skills: Basic Math Skills (measuring, use of calculator)
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written and verbal instructions
- Physical Demands: Must frequently lift up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
The Assembler may work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to vibration. Noise level is usually moderate for a manufacturing plant. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
